Disability is no barrier to Success: Meet Mansi Patil

“Disability is no barrier to Success: Meet Mansi Patil”
Speaker – Mansi Patil
Mansi Patil participated in Youth dance competition in which Mansi succeeded by overcoming her disability. Twenty-year-old Kumari Mansi Hemant Patil from Ayodhya, Jalgaon, who is active with positive thoughts in mind, is a crippled dancer who excels in dance with one left foot! Indomitable perseverance, heroism, positive attitude, perseverance are the four pillars of Mansi’s survival.
Mansi was not born with a disability. In November 2014, while in class 10th, on her way to class, she was hit by a two-wheeler on the highway near Khedi village and fell on the highway. Two difficult surgeries were performed but unfortunately the leg had to be amputated from the knee.
When asked about what she thinks at the moment after an accident deprived her one of her legs, Mansi replied with a smile,
Sabal only brags about standing on one foot for work but destiny has given me the inexhaustible strength to stand on one foot till death.
Pride and respect for her increased a hundredfold with this answer.
Mansi’s home conditions are poor… Father Hemant’s education is only 4th and mother Jayashree’s education is till 10th. He used to run the house on wages. Big brother Pushkar became an early adult due to disability of his only dear sister. He learned by stubbornly earning and learning. Now he is employed in Pune.
Mansi proudly says that her mother’s love and affection is my medicine and the encouragement given by Pushkar’s grandfather and father is my psychiatric treatment.
Mansi’s latent desire to dance took off like a phoenix party. With a strong willpower, in two years, Mansi exercised one to two hours daily to maintain balance on one foot and made herself physically and mentally capable.
Mansi’s intention is to get rewards by taking it. The mind is full of great confidence. Even after getting MBA (Finance), she will pursue a career only in the art of dance and she is working hard for that. Mansi is taking lessons from dance guru Yogesh Mardane. She is learning Bollywood and contemporary dance forms. Her emphasis will be on worshiping this art without gesturing while showing the new dance culture of the country. All you need is the support of amateurs, service-minded and helping hands.
Attarde Foundation is very happy to host Mansi Patil, who will be taking us through her journey which will surely be an inspirational one!
