Why Women

Why Women

Women are the pillars of a healthy society. If a woman is empowered, she educates and empowers the entire family and eventually the whole society. If a woman is empowered she builds the nation by contributing the nation’s wealth.

Financial and social empowerment incentives the overall growth of the nations. Brings more stability and enrichment to the diverse lives. The nations which have gained the most economic and social progress are those that have been successful in providing widespread and equitable access to the education of women.

To Grant Women Economic freedom

Half of this globe has women population which is imperiled to various forms of violence, abuses and harassments. Every human being has the right to live an independent and dignified life free of subjugation and domination. In most of the developing countries, there is a huge gender gap and women are subjected to live under male dominance as per the old school traditional values which don’t stand any longer today.

Women empowerment is thus very crucial in fostering economic independence among women in rural as well as urban areas. Apart from exhibiting economic independence for themselves, women have great capacity to contribute towards the society which ultimately builds a concrete nation.

Significant Low Literacy Rate

When compared with the rest of the world, the female literacy rate is considerably low in India at around 60 percent, which is 22 percentage points below the world average.

Apart from the low female literacy, there is also a wide gender disparity in India’s performance on literacy with a difference of around 20 percentage points between male and female literacy rates.

Discrimination in the fields

Globally, we have a major women workforce of 80% laborers working in the agriculture sector whereas, in India, the female worker’s workforce participation ratio (24.8) in the agriculture sector is half of the male workers (54.3) according to 2011 -2012 census. But apart from gender-based discrimination, women also face discrimination in wages as they are poorly paid the male laborers.

Women Safety against the Rape Culture

According to statistics, a woman is raped in India every 20 minutes. India has also been declared the most dangerous country in the world for women due to the high risk of sexual violence according to a 2018 survey conducted by Thompson Reuters Foundation. Owing to the growing number of horrid cases of sexual assault surfacing from all the corners of the country including from eve-teasing to gang rapes and acid attacks,we are thus committed to make this society a safer place for women with multiple initiatives aimed at improving safety for women.
